Mount Ararat does indeed lie in the background of this image. But the most interesting thing shown may be the city in the foreground. The city is Yerevan, capital of Armenia, and the building at far left is the Church of St. Grigor Lusavorich. (It's now so far left it's out of view.) The update interval is unknown.
